Power of the Group: Join the NO EXCUSES 3-Week Author Blog Challenge!

If you’re an author, or planning to be anytime in the next 18 months, marketing is – or should be – a key focus for you. One of the best ways to market yourself, and by extension your book, is by blogging. Many authors start blogs, but even though they are “writers,” they get bogged down in knowing what to post, how often to post, and how to do it well.

The NO EXCUSES 3-Week Author Blog Challenge to the rescue! It begins this Friday, October 28, and runs through Thursday, November 17. A blog challenge is just that – a challenge to post a certain number of days in a row. This one is short, which is why it is so titled. There really is no reason you can’t find time to write a post a day for just 3 weeks – and think of what it will do for your motivation, writing skills, and potential traffic to your blog!

Seriously – just 3 weeks of posting to your own blog on pre-determined prompts (should you choose to follow them) all related to book marketing. Here’s a hint: the first prompt is already posted on the website – so head over there right now to register to participate get a jump start!

A blog challenge relies heavily on the power of the group, because you are participating with a group of other people with similar goals and interests. To get the most out of the experience, you will blog daily for 3 weeks, but you will also read the other participants’ posts and share the ones you particularly enjoy with your own social networks. The quid pro quo of this arrangement helps everyone!

We’ll be doing recaps of the best posts for each day – and offering daily giveaways to those who participate. You cannot go wrong by joining the NO EXCUSES 3-Week Author Blog Challenge. If you want a little extra exposure, you can take part in the daily giveaway. Past participants have donated ebooks, printed books, how-to guides, special reports, poetry, and illustrations, just to name a few.
